3 days Mikumi national & Maasai village tour
This tour offers you the opportunity to visit the Mikumi National Park which has over time progressed to be a wildlife safari destination filled with amazing activities. Located 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, the park was established in 1964 and up to now is widely considered the country’s 4th largest national park. This is a good park to visit if you are coming to the country through Zanzibar or Dar-es-Salaam. Additional cultural experience at a nearby local tribe the Masai village is on day 3.
- Meals for arriving date
You will be picked up at the Julius Nyerere International Airport / Ferry and transferred to your hotel in Dar es Salaam; you will meet your guide who will brief you on your upcoming safari. All the basic information about your safari will be given to you by safari guide.
Dar-es-Salaam to Mikumi national park
Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 7:30 am. Transfer to Mikumi NP.
Our tour driver will drive you from Dar–es- salaam to Mikumi National Park. This journey will take about 5 to 6 hours where you will stop for lunch in Morogoro Town.
At this park you will get an opportunity to see the most fascinating animals in the park like huge African elephants, king of the jungle Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, one of the biggest antelope in the world, the Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizards, and other residents. The park also has over 300 species of birds that have been observed.
Later you will return to Mikumi Cottage (inside the park) for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Full day Mikumi national park game drives
Enjoy a great start to your day two inside the park as you go for morning game drives which are fantastic for spotting the hard to find game animals such as lions and hyenas.
Mikumi National Park has over time progressed to be a wildlife safari destination filled with amazing activities. Located 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, the park was established in 1964 and up to now is widely considered the country’s 4th largest national park.
Lunch will be inside the national park. In the afternoon, you will exit the park and go to Camp Bastian lodge & camp for overnight and dinner. The food is good here and they are generally one of the better places to stay at Mikumi. As such they are usually fully booked so we advise that you plan your booking with at least few days before the actual safari to enable us to get you a room here. Accommodation alternatives are available in case required, and your price will be adjusted according if you select to stay at another lodge or hotel.

Visit to a local Masai village in Mikumi
You will start the day with a cultural visit to a local Masai village in Mikumi and if time allows pass by the local women’s market. The Masai a popular traditional tribe in Tanzania and Kenya. This trip is optional and for those rushing to make the journey back to Zanzibar, they can opt out of this cultural visit. Kindly let us know during booking.
Afterwards you will start your journey back to Dar-es-Salaam.
